Alfetta GT (GTV version Veloce) is a sports coupe type of car produced by the Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo between 1974 and 1987.
In 1967 Alfa Romeo decided to launch design studies for a new coupe that will replace, from the mid-1970s, the Alfa Romeo Giulia GT. The specifications included a body that can comfortably accommodate four passengers instead of the traditional 2 + 2, with a trunk volume sufficient for travel. These constraints were primarily aimed at countering competition from compact sports sedan that offered similar benefits and a good level of comfort.
