H Alfa Romeo 164 was a middle saloon car luxury category E, produced by tinitaliki automaker Alfa Romeo, from September 1987 to June 1997. It replaced the rear-wheel drive Alfa Romeo 90 and introduced the transmission to the front wheels, for first time in the history of the brand, while the top version 3.0 V6 24-valve offered as four-mobile since 1993. it was replaced by the Alfa Romeo 166.

The Alfa Romeo 164 was produced in collaboration with the Fiat, Lancia and SAAB, whose respective models with a common chassis and relative technological background, called Croma, Thema and 9000.
